VILLA PS
The Villa is located on the island of Port Lucaya in the Bahamas archipelago.
Immersed in a tropical garden it opens towards a magnificent sea view.
The Building is composed of two main blocks arranged in L- shape. We we find on the ground floor the main entrance of the villa with very generous spaces: living room, dining room, kitchen, cinema room and billiard room, plus all additional service spaces needed, such as bathrooms and storage.
On the Northwest side, above the garage, we find the guardian's apartment.
An entirely glazed staircase leads upstairs where we have four bedrooms with each one's own private bathroom. The Master bedroom has two large private bathrooms, wardrobe, fitness area and Jacuzzi pool.
The Garden is equipped with a large swimming pool and, closer to the beach on a slightly elevated platform, the barbecue area.
The roof of the main building extends out cantilevered to form a beautiful double-height porch open towards the pool and the garden. It serves both as a frame for the main facade and as a shadow element for the bright sun of Bahamas.
The goal of the project was not merely to design a home that would respond to the functional desires of the client but to integrate as well a coordinated design that would create an accurate transition between the entrance patio, the house, the terrace, the pool area, the barbecue annex and in a final sequence the beach and the ocean.
The finishes were selected with taste with the client, importing refined goods from Europe that represent his taste and heritage. The entrance gate and doors are unique large scale bronze sculptures by Swiss - Panama Artist Michael Session, handcrafter in the foundry Perseo with the ancient technique of "cera persa" and then shipped by sea to Bahamas.
